Ocean-side dining at its best… that’s what you’ll find at the Page Point Bistro in Ladysmith, BC, on beautiful Vancouver Island. It’s a hop, skip and jump from our own pottery studio, and after having lunch there with our good friends Lynda and Teddy (Island Estuary Bed and Breakfast), I won’t hesitate to recommend this fabulous spot.
If it’s warm enough, you can dine on the deck. If it’s cool, you’ll enjoy the warm ambiance of an updated Lodge with a beautifully crafted bar; and there’s lots of window seating so you can still enjoy the view of Ladysmith harbour and the Page Point Marina. Vic and Teddy enjoyed bison burgers for lunch, both raved over them, as well as over the yummy french fries they were served (and they were good… I tried a few). Linda had a wonderful pulled pork sandwich (I stole some of her fries too), and she said the bread was absolutely delicious too. I can say the same about the sundried tomato fritata and fresh green salad with a hazelnut which came with a wonderful hazelnut coulis. Just remembering it has my mouth watering again.
