This altered “mocha” vase was fired in a gas kiln. The interior of this piece received a traditional copper red glaze, but the exterior derives its colour from the reduction atmosphere. Mocha tea was dropped onto slip when the pot was nearing a bone dry state before it was bisque fired. By Vic Duffhues, and in our personal collection.
